Exploring the imagination

Journey to the market town of Newcastle Emlyn and you’ll discover internationally acknowledged artist, Helen Elliot, winner of the ‘Made in Carmarthenshire’ CTA Awards. At her studio, you can take a creative journey of your own. Explore your imagination and that of an artist who took her own unique route into the wonderful world of naïve art. Helen’s not your typical artist. Prepare to see original works and prints that show experimentation. Bold use of colour communicates a physical response and true feeling for the landscape – everyone painted from the heart. Meet Helen. Get to know her and her work. John Street Gallery

John Street Gallery run by husband-and-wife team Ivano & Denise Di Battista. The gallery houses a painting and printing studio. As well as colourful fine art on display, there is a wide range of limited-edition prints, gift cards and decorative and gift items.

HeART of the community

Founded in 2017, Y Tŷ Celf – The Art House is a vibrant Community Interest Company based in the heart of Llanelli. As a creative hub, it supports 12 freelance artists who bring colour, creativity, and expertise to the local community. The gallery showcases affordable art contributed by its members and hosts monthly exhibitions, celebrating diverse themes such as International Women’s Day and raising awareness for dementia. Y Tŷ Celf also offers workshops on the first floor, providing a safe and welcoming space for individuals and groups to explore their artistic talents. Through its work with local schools, colleges, and organisations, the Art House is fostering creativity and well-being, making art accessible to everyone.
